“Choice Morsels” Readers,
God has brought us safely back home to River Falls, Wisconsin after visiting friends and holding services in Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana and Michigan. The older we get, perhaps the Lord has to send additional angels to help us (Smile) – but we are so thankful for the wonderful fellowship we have had with so many and for God’s wonderful protection. Sister Diane Mullins from Ohio is presently in South Africa holding services, and we know our people are greatly blessed. David and Donna Haag

OMNIPRESENT PRAYER

"Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” (Colossians 4:12) NKJV

One of the most important ministries in older age, as grandparents, is to pray for your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We personally have spent much time praying for our eight grandchildren, and have seen God miraculously answer many prayers. One of our grandsons desperately needed God’s intervention in a situation he was facing. However, we were in the State of Washington with other of our family, and he lived in Wisconsin but was on his way to Kansas. We had gone to a Laundromat, where I stayed to wash the clothes. At first the Laundromat was busy with people, but soon it was just me there. Then the burden of intercession came heavily upon me to pray for our grandson facing this desperate situation. I prayed in the Spirit, cried and interceded before the Lord – it was just the Lord and me. When the burden had lifted, people suddenly began coming into the Laundromat. God once again proved Himself, and we later found out that the Lord had answered prayer. This grandson is faithfully serving the Lord today.

The old song says, “What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” The Lord even hears the cry from the heart of a grandmother in a laundromat many hundreds of miles away. The Lord can instantly answer the prayers of His people praying for someone even half way around the world. So often when we visit churches in either South Africa or the United States, people tell us how they have prayed for us, and are praying for us. We know that the victories we have seen are often because people have prayed for us. The Lord sees the heart – we can be driving in a car; sitting in a restaurant; at our workplace; at school; even in prison like Paul and Silas; or wherever, and God sees and hears the cries coming from an earnest heart on behalf of someone, or something. The greatest thing is that God not only hears, but He answers! Sometimes the answers God gives are not what we expect, but because He loves us so much, He gives the answer that is best for us.

Our Prayers Are Not In Vain
